MA Certification is a mandatory product certification for equipment and products used in underground coal mines, adopting the mode of "product testing + factory inspection".
It requires not only testing the applied products but also conducting on-site inspections and annual supervision reviews of the manufacturing factories of these products, which is commonly known as factory audit.
In terms of product testing, products must meet the requirements of Coal Mine Safety Standards. For instance, electrical products should comply with explosion-proof standard requirements in coal mine gas environments, as well as product performance standards.
Regarding factory inspection, factory evalsuations are mainly carried out based on the ISO9001 production quality system, combined with the requirements of the Implementation Rules for the Mine Safety Product Certification Mark. Therefore, applicants must have their own manufacturing factories or authorized OEM factories. It should be specifically noted that not all products can apply for MA Certification through the OEM mode.
The National Mine Safety Product Certification Center is the institution responsible for issuing and inquiring about Coal Mine Safety Certification certificates.
